Moving forward!

We are fortunate to have this lovely place to rest and recuperate!

As many of you know, the last 6 weeks have been a bit traumatic (pun intended) and an emotional roller coaster. We are doing our best to look on the bright side – it could have been much worse – and are very thankful again for the wonderful people we have encountered on this journey.

Yes we are still in the boatyard…. but we have good reasons. It has been a bit of an emotional roller-coaster ride for the last month, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. We will be spending the holidays on the hard. But before I elaborate on why we are still here, let’s fill you in on what we have been up to in the meantime.

How’s your cables hanging baby!?

Not good!

As the prep for the voyage south continues, the captain and crew are focused on safety first. We have completed the install of our life raft and our electronic “safety net” is now complete with the Iridium Go with the fixed Marine antennae and our AIS transponder. The next project was to ensure Cariba’s steering system is robust and sound.
